The Corvette museum does this all the time. I knew a guy from NJ that won a Ron Fellows C6 Z06 from a raffle from the museum. Since he had a C6 he sold it so he could redo the kitchen for his wife lol. The dummy did not even sell it himself, basically got a wholesale value from a dealer. This was a limited production, and since it was for the museum Ron Fellows was at the factory, his race number was number 3, so this was the 3rd one produced. There was photos of him on the line with it, autographing it etc. With that provenance he could have got more from a collector.
I met Ron at a big Corvette toys for tots run in NJ. I told him what happed to his number 3 Vette, that it was sold for a kitchen, he cracked up.
That is Aimee next to him, she would probably want a new kitchen too, lol
