I have never seen anyone post this, but you can buy a CD from RockAute for $20 that has a PDF of all the shop manuals.

Sounds useful. Has anyone done this confirmed that they are the formal "Ford" shop manuals?

I used to have the Ford shop manuals on CD and DVD but lost them to smoke damage in a fire. They were from Ford but I don't know about the Rockauto ones, you could call and ask.

I could only find it listed for 98 and 95 Mark VIII's.

I purchased it. It is a full PDF of the actuall shop manuals. The file is huge so it need so it needs to be put on your hard drive. It is 3224 pages long. Includes the powertrain, electrical, chassis, and Body/Paint manuals. Definitely worth the price.

Most likely the PDF it is just images, so no search. The official repair DVDs are searchable.

still have it. Does not work so well on new computers like W10.

ah, well it is almost 20 years old, also may have to load the plugins from it like for SVG.

I tried using it when I had W8 and it did not do anything. I imagine it will work on an XP pc.
