My lincoln is a 1990 signiture series continental. The head gasket went bad and we replaced it. Now the car idles funny and drives like it is missing. When listening to the exhaust it pops every once in a while at around 10-20 second intervals. After replacing the Head gasket it ran fine for a week or so, then started missing on two cylinders very badly. The plugs were soaked in gas, so we replaced the fuel rail and injectors (I have an 89 signiture series as well that we used for parts).
After the replacement parts it ran fine for a day or so now it just idles funny with a slight misfire (that is what it feels like). When it is driven it feels like a miss as well. All cylinders have good compression and the plugs and wires are brand new. I love the car and want it running smoothly again. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it greatly.....
