Snow tires on Moose

Night and day difference and a must for living in the north.
Yep! When I bought my 1995 Mark VIII back in Nov 2006, it had stock all seasons. I was living outside Boston, MA then....and when we got the first 1/2 in snow....I was spinning the rears all over the place and the steering wasn't much better. "Traction control?" really.

I put 4 Bridgestone Blizzaks on it and it was like I had sticky 4 wheel drive. My driveway back then, was on a 35 degree angle with a hard left turn into the garage. We got 8 inches of nice new snow one night....and when I got home, had an unplowed driveway. Made it up the driveway without slipping, and right into my garage spot. Like the snow wasn't even there.

Best thing for snow? A winter rat beater 4 cylinder 5 speed like a reliable 87-88 Nissan Sentra or an old Honda or Toyota. Serious. When I lived and grew up in NY every one had their big bad muscle cars, but when the snow hit and salt slushy roads, everyone bought 800.00 "beaters with a heater" to get back and forth to work and put their hotrod up in the barn for the winter. Unless you had cash to burn back in the day or had a brand new 4X4. I know I know, FWDs suck. But nothing beats them in the wintertime. Just bog them down with a high gear less torque and hardly any wheel spin. Plus you get to have all the drifting fun with that pull up E brake. haha Way to get off subject Jeff. Were supposed to be talkin about tires.

Who wants to drive a 4 cylinder rice car just because it's winter? I've been driving beater Mark VIII's for years, they are a great winter car!
