Some ice fishing photos

My brother and I went ice fishing last week, we had a great time. We didn't catch anything, but it was great to get out on Lake Erie. :thumbsup:

We've caught some great fish here before, they just weren't around this time. :)

Jim's got the sled and shanty, we take turns dragging the sled.
We had 2 poles inside, and 3 tip ups outside.

The camera shows no fish, just a grub and minnow hanging down from the fishin' poles.:D

Even with no fish, it's still a good time to relax and sip some refreshing adult beverages.

It wasn't that bad Norm, it was about 10 degrees. Of course we were dressed for it, and we did have a small heater in the shanty. The worse was when I took my gloves off to take photos outside as it was very windy.

It's still as challenging as any type of fishing, you drop the line in, crack open a cold beer, and wait for a fish to bite. :D

The thing about the camera is that you can watch and see if the fish are there, what kind of fish are there, if they are hungry, and what kind of bait they like. You can also see what works and what doesn't, like sometimes jigging the bait attracts the fish, and sometimes it doesn't.

Sometimes you see huge walleyes cruising along the bottom. They ignore the little minnow and grub on the small hooks, then you keep an eye on your tip ups with the big minnows, and soon pull up one of these.:thumbsup:
