I actually came to this section to ask about squieling brakes. How do you get rid of the squiel. The pads are good and so are the roders. I just checked them. I have a brake pad on the back left that keeps rattling also. Is there a way to fix that. I think the clip broke off so I'm guessing I'd have to replace it unless someone here knows a homegrown way of fixing this little problem. its quite annoying.

edit: sorry about the title messing up. I'm not used to this laptop keyboard yet.

I think certain kinds of pads are less likely to squeel.

Yep, that's about all I'm good for, haha. :D I'm sure someone can reccomend a good brake pad. For some reason Raybestos Quietstops(?) stick out in my mind...

Ceramic pads are less noisy than others. Many different brands are available, it's my understanding that Raybestos Ceramic and NAPA Ceramic one and the same

Lee is correct. And remember, if you have an AAA card, you get a decent discount at NAPA stores.

I just had new '98 rotors installed on my fronts @ $70.00 ea. The guy said the manufacturer was Raybestos, or Raysomething he said. I never knew Raybestos made rotors too, but they were really beefy.

Sorry, Tony I wasn't any help with your problem, tho.
