I was on my way to VA for the night to knock off some of the drive down to GA.
I just got home with the help of AAA after waiting for them for almost 2 hours. I had talked the wife into driving down and rescuing me so I wouldn't have to ride in the tow truck. I initially feared the tow truck would beat her but she was there long before the tow truck. They claimed it took so long because I requested a flat bed.
I don't know if I have a spare oil pressure switch if that's what I need. I'm not sure what else it could be. It was raining oil from the k-member. Yes, I changed the oil just the other night but I am sure the filter was tight (with no extra gasket, LOL). About the only other thing would be the oil filter adapter gasket but there was only oil, no coolant. The odd thing was it trailed oil right from where I turned into the gas station. I noticed the trail when I walked behind the car to fuel up. After filling the gas tank, I retrieved a flashlight and looked for what was leaking. There was a puddle under the car and I backed the car up to see what it was and was shocked it was motor oil. I then pulled away from the pumps to a parking spot figuring I could either fix it or call for a tow. As I was backing into the parking spot, the message center warning for "Low Oil Level" came on.
Regardless, I'm done for tonight and will see what I can do in the morning to get back on the road. It'll be a long day tomorrow by the time I get the car in the garage on the lift, fix it (hopefully) and then drive to Commerce, GA.
But I holding out hope it's a quick fix.
