Speakers

I'm buying a '96 MKVIII, and I think the stock JBL speakers are blown, so I'll use that as a chip, but how far should I go (besides as far as I can) - to cover the cost of replacing I think all 8 of them .. which I'd like to know how much, also how hard would it be to locate and replace new speakers, and is an upgrade recommended?

Replace the whole thing with aftermarket, the stock stuff is junk, I would pay for any of it. There's a car audio section on this site that will have good recomendations.
