Spring cleaning

I received an email from another car club I belong to it and said they were doing a little spring cleaning and ask everyone on the books to let them know if they wanted to still participate in the club, basically if you don't have any to do with club can we purge you from the system, or if you wish to stay at you current status.

It was written in a way as to not offend anyone.

I wonder if we would consider doing something similar. I know we have people who signed up posted once and we never hear from them again. This could give us a better feel for our membership.

The email I received had a link to pm the webmaster whether you want to continue as you are or opt out ( if you sold the car. etc ).

Just a thought.

lol, why? If someone doesn't want to be a member they don't pay and they don't participate? Why purge them though?

We do attempt to do spring cleaning on the paid memberships. Some sites automatically purge you after a predetermined period of "inactivity".

We have had several users "return" after long periods of absence. :)

I just threw it out there because I thought it was neat that the site was trying to keep their membership accurate. If it doesn't have any benifit for us them that'a fine. I was more or less passing along info.
