Its a pretty interesting concept. couple of my buddies have it on their F bodies and made pretty decent power.They then blew up because of improper tuning.

sir willaim has one over on tccoa, if you wanna ask him ?s and i think another guy as well...i think there is to much of a draw back w/ a rear mounted turbo...

Kale, if you haven't already cut those things off I highly recommend it!!! Sounds so great with just pipe... low and husky at idle, surprisingly quite at speed, and loud as hell accelerating!

Yeah too loud for me, at least after six months of straight pipes. I went with the Flowmaster 50 series and I love the sound. I will have to redo the exhaust again though since the 96 rear bumper cover has cutouts and my tips will not fit them where they are currently. I want to run a single dual in, dual out muffler so I can have just two long chrome tips out the back. We'll see.

i'd think there would be a hell of a turbo lag with that type of set up. Sir William has that on his bird??

Uh after seven years as a diesel mechanic and two years i skool last i remember, turbos are plumbed directly off the manifold for a reason... Heat expansion, sorry but turbos have to get hot to be efficient and putting a turbo way a the end of a tail pipe means more backPRESSUre and not the good kind, like with a girlfriend ::roll::

Turbos do not have to get hot to be efficient.
And its not neccesarily the expansion that gets the turbo spooling.It can HELP, but its not neccesary.On some race applications where an oversized A/R housing is used (oversized for the displacement) you can use a two step that essentially puts unburned fuel into the exhaust in order for it to burn IN the exhaust, which aids the exhaust velocity.
Otherwise, if the turbo selection is well thought out and sized correctly there is no "need" for heat expansion.Just good old exhaust velocity.

I know this system goes against most everyones proven theories, but it works pretty well.
I have ridden in an F body with this kit and it spools up very nicely.
If your goals are to add a couple hundred extra horsepower this kit is "okay". But if your building a serious race engine I would go to a traditional system with some well made stainless manifolds.

Interesting concept, but I think the Lag would be horrendous. Not only for the turbo to spool up, but also for the compressed air to make it back up front. Round trip would be like ~20 feet, plus the compressed volume is 850 cubic inches (assuming 3" air pipe)! I can see why you don't need an intercooler with a ~10' one way trip. Might turn out to be acceptable with an automatic, but you'd have to significantly "pre-nail" the accelerator in anticipation of the boost. I'll guess maybe a 3 - 4 second lag.

Nope, no lag.The turbo being as small as it is, is the sole reason the system works.My friend is about to upgrade to a larger turbo so we'll see how well it works then, but for now its quite nice.

There's an article in the new Popular Hot Rodding where they install one on an 02 LS1. They went from a 313HP baseline to 463HP in a matter of HOURS! I'll see if I can find a link to the article.

Is the air intake and filter mounted under the car? If it is think there might be any issues with ingesting water into the intake on wet days?

I have a 78 F350 with a 460 and I wanted to put on a couple of buick 3.8 turbos on it as a (Blow through the carb setup). This may simplify that install. On a Mark it would be simple with a trunk mounted fuel cell.

The air intake actually comes through what would normally be your left tailpipe.So as long as you dont BACK UP into any puddles you should be okay on the ingesting water idea.

I talked to the guy on thje phone today about it. he said there isn't a kit for our cars, but they have a universal turbo that would work. All you would need is for somebody to bend the pipe for it. Cost without the pipe work would be $2800 and he recommended getting it tuned. They put on in on a T-Bird and said that it would work with our cars. I was told that with a proper tune and the turbo set at 5psi our cars would make anywhere from 340 to 380 rwhp. He said that he figured our cars stock are around 220 to 240 rwhp roughly. So sounds like a nice improvement. They also told me that with an intercooler and their next level turbo and proper set up our cars would make well over 400 rwph. Wish I knew for sure that their claims are proven. Sounds interesting none the less.

I'm telling you I know two people here in vegas that have them on their cars and they LOVE them.And their power claims are very reasonable.

looking at this product, $2800 is a lot of money. You can pick up a small turbo with a wastegate, get all the piping done no problem, bigger injectors, MAF, roughly $1200 or so plus tuning. The only thing I wonder about is how they provide the oil to the compressor ? Do they use a twin turbo setup ?
