Starting to look at Fuel Pumps

[/SIZE]I am starting to look at several parts that I plan to install on my Mark CE. I have done some research on fuel pumps. I found this one, it is for the hi-performance focus. It appears that it is a 284LPH pump for about $65. Does anyone have this pump and if so how does it perform? I'm looking for comments and opinions of this one and other pumps that you might suggest and why. Thanks in advance.:smile-purple: Mark

I used an aeromotive 340Lph pump in my '97.Went right in without modification.I used this because I am using a 2.3 liter Whipple/2004 cobra aluminator engine swap. Also using a boost a pump with 60lb. injectors.Plan on running 17-19 lbs boost.

Although the specs look right I believe that pump is for the standard Focus. The one you want is the E2386 that sells for $131.99 at my Auto Zone.

I got this from one of the other sites. It works out at 75 gallons per hour or 75 X ( 3.78 liters/ gallon ) =283.5 LPH. Or Is this wrong? Mark:confused:

The write up by DLF was suprising but very helpful. The main thing to be sure of the pump is the turbine type, and not gerotor. The Mark VIII has a pulse modulated pump with a return line. It's like a returnless system with a return, uses a fuel pump driver module.I almost bought the wrong pump, but DLF cleared it all up for me.I think the E2386 is the right one.I went big as I could for upgrades.

Yeah, thanks for the input. I did read DLF's article. Mark
