Strange water leak

I have a water leak in my CE. It drenched the passenger carpet.

I removed the seat, propped up the carpet with wood, mopped up the water, and dried out the carpet and padding over a few days. The floor is a nice clean white.

I thought I caused it when I was working on the air ride, I had the air ride module exposed for a few days and the door seal was laying in on the carpet. I thought that was the path for the water, but the seal is back on now.

It's not the cowl intake and cover, I fixed that last year, and drenched the windshield and wiper area with a garden hose tonight, not a drop in the car.

It looks like it's dropping on the floor foot well area where your heel would rest if you put your foot flat on the firewall. It's not coolant, it's clear water.

Has anyone else had a leak like this?

Mine did that when new, the AC condensation drain hose was kinked, but I doubt you are using the AC. Maybe a issue where the house comes out the firewall.

The AC is on most of the time. Actually should only be off in OFF, HEAT(only) and VENT functions. It is on in the AUTO function.

Yes, it cycles on in auto and defogging for dehumidification, etc, but not sure about the weather there now vs a hot humid day when it would be making more condensation, sounds like he had a lot of water. I think there is a low outside temp threshold where the AC would not come on.

Thanks guys, I'll check these.

The AC doesn't work on this car though, I did put a can of refrigerant in a couple months ago, but it leaked out the next day. I'll still check the drain.

does it have a sunroof? Possibly a clogged drain hole down the A-pillar.
also check the right door drain holes...they can get clogged and when the water level in the door is high enough to reach the panel attachment holes, it'll run IN to the car.

We had a thaw last week so, I got a chance to get back to this. It doesn't leak ice.:D

I used a hose to drench the cowl area and it started leaking. I re sealed the cowl area with RTV to see if that does it.

Now I have to wait for the next thaw to see if it's fixed.:)

I swear if we have fine light snow it can blow into my passenger compartment first time I get up to 15mph. Probably a similar problem I have always figured.
