The Mid-Atlantic MN12 group is once again hosting their annual Joel Bender Memorial Nationals event, also known as Summer Blast. :cool-blue:

Below is the itinerary for this years JBMN SB 12 event.
This year the price has gone down slightly. (Cost of food and Venue changes) Its affordable and I believe everyone will like the new accommodations, scheduling and change of venue this year!!!!

The Itinerary will be as follows:

Friday Jul 26th - Morning TBD/Afternoon Meet and Greet at Host Hotel-Comfort Inn, Martinsburg starting at 5PM. until - ? More on that later.

Saturday Jul 27th-

(1) Optional test and tune at Mason Dixon on Saturday.

(2) We will meet at the Comfort Inn and cruise to Hagerstown at approximatley 3 PM. We will be going to the Golden Corral Buffet for the all you can eat buffet there then head across Valley Mall for the Saturday car show. We should be there before 5PM. We'll park there for a couple hours and have a good time conversing and looking at the other cars. (Bring a chair). Or/After that your choice.

Sunday Jul 28 - 10:00 Am Line up at Comfort Inn. Police escort 10:30 to War Memorial Park Main Pavillion for our MAMN12 Car show and picnic/banquet site. Car show will begin shortly after 11 AM until approximately 1PM. Our picnic/Dinner/Awards ceremony will begin at 1:00 until approximately 3PM. At that time those that need to depart can and the rest of us can meet at the hotel parking lot for evening debriefing. Wink

Costs this year are as follows:
Cut-off for Registration this year is July 21st. After that on a case-by-case only.

Car/Driver including Picnic- $17.00

Car/Driver including picnic with passenger: $34.00

Children 6 - 10 are $6.00. Children 5 and under are free!!!

The Buffet in Hagerstown is approximately $12.00 each plus drinks (Not included in fee). Something to eat there for everyone. The meet and greet is Included in the fee this year!!. You must bring your own bottle but food and other drinks will be provided.

Grandma will be representing us at the birthday party and I will be at the adult party. :D

LOL. OK, who's going?

I actually went out today, and boy did that wipe me out and hurt. With Beerdog still job searching, and my continued medical issues, I guess it'd be up to him, doubtful I could do any of the drive (but I keep improving). Possibility would be for me to hang at the Driller's or a nearby hotel (but then I'd need a car), with Beerdog accompanying you to Summer Blast. Oh, I don't know... we'd need to make pet plans, new dog still not trustworthy.

JP, call Mike and see what he thinks, I don't feel like going downstairs to talk to him.

But FYI people, this is a fun trip, and tends to be very inexpensive. Plus you always go home with souveniers.

As always, your car looks amazing.

Was it a smaller turnout this year? I know I had been planning to attend, but the dates just didn't work out. I really had a good time at this one last year,

Yes, it's always been right around my birthday. They moved it this year to get a private track rental.

As it turned out, the track event was canceled due to not enough registrants. :(

But a good time was had anyways. I'll post more pics later. ;)
