You can also check out Black Mamba Speed performance. Bobby Underwood has the fastest street legal Mark VIII on the planet. He owns the shop named after that car. So far it runs 8.80s in the 1/4 mile. Turbo Coyote.

Wow. That's a super clean Mark. Beautiful.

We've had our share of Vette owners here, too.. No shame in that. :)

I am not having much luck on finding someone to do performance upgrades. I did flow master exhaust and alum tips and some serious stereo upgrades with new touch screen android receiver that does everything including backup camera and 4000 watts . Think it sounds better than my 16 escalade with Bose . Now I've ran out of things to do besides performance stuff. L&d performance told me to go to Lincoln vs Cadillac and read forum and collect all parts and then he would install. Said he was too busy to get them. I don't feel very good about anyone else I talked to. If anyone can direct me to someone else for performance help I want to do it asap thanks.

Welcome to the Mark8 performance world. :) You are pretty much on your own to research options on the forums, buy the parts, and, find someone you trust to install. If you are willing to deliver your car you can try to work with a few members who do mods for people. Some work out of their garage while others have shops. John Temple of http://templeperformancecars.com/ is an option. Bill at https://www.supercoupeperformance.com/ is an option. Jeremi (mad1stgen) is an option. Each has their own perspective/opinions, but all have extensive experience modifying mark8's for others. Each have also been long time LOD members and Mark8 owners so they truly understand the car and can be trusted.

+1 for Jeremi.

He'll be honest from the start, takes pride in his work and will give you great results. Not sure what his current schedule is, but if he's got the time to take on your project, then I'd look no further. You seriously won't find anyone to do a better job.

Poke around on the forum and checkout some of the many builds he's done... pure class act.

Hi my name is OB and I live in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get work done on a 1998 lincoln Mark VIII.
Money isn't my first concern, but someone who knows what to do. I have no Idea what I need or dont need to make a fun car .I just bought a flawless one owner car and want to make it a little funner to drive. Nothing too radical. I've been reading that with a 98 lincoln you need upper and lower cobra intake to start ,but i really dont know what I do or dont need.Ready to start the build, just need someone who will steer me in the direction of someone who knows what to do .Supercharging seems to be the direction I need to go. Thanks for any help you can give.
I guess this is the problem, there are many directions you can go its extremely hard to give a shop a car and say "here make it fast"
Do you have a power level your looking at?
Will the car see regular street duty?
What time period are you looking at? Deadline?
Figure out what you want the car to be so the details can be ironed out, parts collected.

thanks for the posts you guys sent.
I have other cars to drive so time isnt as important.
I dont want a race car, just better than it is. I will drive it once a week if its fun to drive.
I have been working on it nonstop since I got it a month ago.
but then again I will only be happy if its as perfect as a new car. Thank god I bought a low milage near perfect car to start with.
I used to be in the car buisness years ago and bought and sold dozens of these marks and always loved them.
I will get in contact with the people you mentioned and see if I can find a solution.
as far as power level I really dont know what I can expect. Money isnt the issue, but I dont want someone to overpower the car and other stuff break.
one performance place here locally said they would order a vortech and install for 7000,but when I asked what they were going to do he just stated that they were going to put on a vortech kit. I guess I need someone who knows these cars to say hey if you want a quick street car then we need to do a.b.c.d.e. etc etc and then I will feel comfortable with the process. Thanks for all your advice.

My plan was a fun daily driver that had a little stop light surprise.
4.10 gear, 4 inch driveshaft, tr3650 swapped five speed with adjustable torque converter, cobra cams, cobra intake, long tube headers, full flowing exhaust, some tire to stick and upgraded IRS. Fun street car
Next step is a c head eaton swap...it never ends
Make a pan, spend money

You can easily get into the 13's with gears, Trac/loc, high stall, stickies, 93 drive shaft, J-mod, free flow exhaust. Then low 13's by adding Cobra intake. headers or Cobra manifolds, and a tune. Then 12's or 11's with NOS or a blower. So what is your desire ??? But do not start with a blower.

What's different with the 93 drive shaft?

the 93 driveshaft is a one piece unit.
the later units are a 2 piece with a rubber insert in them.
was probably a good idea new, but over time they don't seem to hold their balance.
and they can buzz when spun to higher speeds with lower rear gears.

I would not bother with a 93 driveshaft I would go with a DYNOTECH a 24 year old driveshaft is a crapshoot I know this from experience .

with the 93 you will still want to get it high speed balanced and new u-joints. That will run you 100-150 if you have a shop near you that can high speed balance. A performance shop is preferred. If you don't you will need to ship it....more cost.....and it still might not help. For a few dollars more you can get a new entry level 3.5" shaft which will be way better than a 93. The 93 shafts were all the rage 10-15 years ago when they were still relatively new. You could just find one, install it, and you wee good to go. Now they are all worn out and will be a.....crap shoot.

Jeremy sold a dynotech while back, and the guy who bought it is no longer going to use it. So it is for sale, but I've only seen an ad on Facebook so I don't know how to get ahold of him.

But here's the screen shot...
