I put my name on the Do Not Call List sometime last month and have only recieved maybe two calls at the most. The calls which start "were talking to home owners in your area....." Or say anything with home owners, just tell them "I'm sorry but we just rent." They say sorry then hang up. If you want to mess with telemarketers try this if it's a woman. when she pauses for anything aske her "what color panties are you wearing." I know it sounds kind of crude but unless shes a freak and into phone sex she will more then likely hang up.

If I am in a good mood, I always go for phone sex (try this with a male telemarketer someday), if I am in a bad mood, I'll rant at them until they hang up.

I occasionally get them on my cell. My old cell more than my current one, though. Considering i live with my dad in an apartment, it's funny how many pre-approved mortgage offers and "homeowner discount" offers for vinyl siding.

I get my share of the telemarketers. Most understand when I say "no". When some won't shutup, I hang up. When the rest get really pushy, I yell at em and make them feel bad. Get them to understand that phoning someone in the privacy of their home at an inconvienient time is just plain dumb. Honestly, I don't mind telemarkerters. They gotta make a living too. It is work however I despise the ones who try to cram their garbage down your throat.

Most (95%) of my calls after signing up for NYS do not call registry.
When someone does call I just tell them I'm gettin busy with there momma and hang up.

If I have time I do this:

TM : Can I speak with David C. please
Me: just a moment (set phone down on table, walk away)

few minutes later, hang it up.

If I don't have time I just hang up. No need to tell them No or whatever, just hang up.

Telemarketing is BS

I have a bit of feel for the telemarketers... My G/F lasted 5 weeks here at Omaha Steaks. They would only call customers that had previously ordered, but sometimes the computer would have them call pepole that just ordered 5 days ago!! She told me one lady got 4 calls in 1 day!! Anyway, telemarketers have that "2nd chance offer" they have to try to sell if they get told no. She wouldn't keep asking those that ordered in the last week, and her supervisor told her to say "Well ___ I can understand that, BUT...). And pepole would say, "Well if you understand, why are you asking me again!!). She quit after being threatend to be fired... I can't blame her!

Hehe, I am the guy that puts the burgers in the Multivac machine. One special pack for you comming up!! But we get HELLA discounts for being employees, something in the 55% range.... I can get a box of like 40 OS burgers for under $20!
