Tennessee Squire Association

Lurking....always Lurking
Guess not. lol Thought there might be some Jack Daniels connoisseurs on the board :)
I have never heard of the Tennessee Squires Association.

I do, however, enjoy Jack Daniel's. There are a couple of bottles in the liquor cabinet right now.

A Jack and Coke (or two) is a fine way to end the work week.

Goes great with a fine steak, too!

{googles Tennessee Squire}

So, are you my referrer? ;)

I might be able to arrange that :) It is quite an involved process though - forms to fill out.

I'm a Wild Turkey guy.
lol Sorry to hear that Norm :)

I agree :) I drink it clean and straight, with a ice water chaser. I always have at least 1 bottle of black label, 1 bottle of Gentleman Jack, and 1 bottle of Single Barrel on hand. lol Never tried the green label - with the other three on hand, I don't think I would ever drink it. :)

I tracked down the website and recieved this email today.

Thanks for taking the time to write to us. We appreciate your interest in the Tennessee Squire Association!

The Tennessee Squire Association was formed over half a century ago in a spirit of good will and fellowship to honor special friends of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey. Members receive letters and emails throughout the year from their neighbors here in Lynchburg, admittance to the Squire Room at the Distillery, and invitations to special events such as bottle signings with our Master Distiller or the Squire Tent held at the annual Jack Daniel's World Championship Barbecue each October. Squires also are awarded an unrecorded plot of land up on the hill behind the Distillery. (We use the term unrecorded as not to imply actual ownership.) These plots have no monetary value and cannot be bought or sold.

To qualify for membership in the Tennessee Squire Association, a nominee must be of legal drinking age; have demonstrated an ongoing loyalty and friendship with Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey; be respected in his or her community and field of endeavor; and not be connected with the liquor industry in any way. Not everyone who applies or is nominated can become a Tennessee Squire, as membership is reserved for our very best and most dedicated Jack Daniel's consumers.

New Squires are nominated by existing members of the Tennessee Squire Association. Should you know someone who is already a Tennessee Squire, then that person can nominate you for membership. We do also select some of our most dedicated Friends of Jack from time to time and invite them to become a part of the Squire Association. If you haven't already, we hope you will sign up to receive our monthly Jack Daniel's e-newsletter and that you'll visit our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/jackdaniels)

Have a great week!

Your friends at the Tennessee Squire Association

Cool. JP, I will PM you the info needed to submit the form. Mike, let me know if you want to apply also, and I will PM you the info.

The form has the usual personal info stuff, and the following question that you will need to put together why you deserve to be a member:

Here in Lynchburg, it's just our nature to be interested in our neighbors, so we'd like for you to tell us something about this nominee's loyalty to our Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey and why you think this person will make a good Tennessee Squire.* Limit of 500 characters.

I will need to take your info, and fill out the form on the Tennessee Squire web site and submit. Then cross your fingers to see if your worthy of being a Squire lol

What are the benefits beyond the bragging rights? Can I cam out on my land plot? We went there for a tour when we came to the shoot out 2 years ago.

Hi Mike,

Is there a chance you are still able to refer someone?
My sister recently got engaged and her fiancé repeatedly mentioned how he wished to get nominated for the Tennessee Squire Association. I figured I would try to get him a nomination for part of their engagement/wedding gift and welcome him into the family the right way (over some Jack). Anyways,*I have found it to be difficult to get this for him and am wondering if you can help or direct me to someone who can help. I would really appreciate it.
