Towncars

Hello everyone, this is my first night here at LOD. I'm all Ford, belong to other fourms for my Exploder, and Stang. I have had several Towncars in the past currently own 2, a 95, and 97. Both Sig Ser, black, and each pushing 200,000 and run like their new. They are great cars, they do everything very well. Towncars are subject to a lot of badmouthing regarding their size, (too big) rep as your grandparents car, old school. Clearly these comments come from those that have never owned one. Renting doesnt count. I know those cars well, so if anyone has questions, feel free to ask me, I'm glad to answer, and from what I see at this site, there are very few out there talking Towncar. I also had a 90 Mark VIII. I wanted one as soon as they hit the streets. Mine was black on black, and beautiful. I loved to just look at it. And for what it's worth, it's my opinion that the 90 and later Towncar is overall a better handling, quicker on it's feet, and more comfortable. Make no mistake, I loved my Mark. But there's nothing quite like a Towncar

EATC Lamp Replacement

To replace the lamps in the EATC Head, the unit has to be removed from the dash. Its easy to remove once the dash panal is removed. It's been a while since I've worked on one of these, but I believe the panel is pryed up to remove. Does anyone know of any links or sites that would have the shop manual process and images? I no longer have my own shop manual, and I don't want to maul the dash or panel. that would not be cool.
