I was told that in 98 carmakers started using GPS and tracking devices so that police departments could find your car in the event of an off road crash or theft or if you commited a crime or if they just want to watch your movements.Does my 98 LSC have this?

Accident investigators might be able to pull some OBDII information if that type of thing concerns you.
