Trunk Monkey Checking in

Hello all,

I've been a registered user since December of last year but never formally introduced myself. I'm a regular over at TCCoA and became a member of the Lincoln family in November of last year when my wife and I bought our '07 Lincoln MKX.

I also own a '95 Ford Thunderbird that I've heavily modified and almost beat Driller with at bracket racing during Summer Blast (except I red-lighted).

I know Driller through TCCoA and MAMN12 and I met Trixie at this year's JB/BK Memorial Summer Blast. It's great to know them both and I look forward to meeting other members of the Lincoln community.

Here are a few pictures of our MKX that I took in February after a snow that we had in Charlotte.

Here are some pictures of the Lincolns that I took at summer blast.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get these posted Trixie. I hope you like.

Hey Trunk Monkey!!

Good to see you here too sir!! The 07 MKX is nice, been thinking of trading in the wife's 01 Windstar minivan to get her EXACTLY that MKX in the EXACT color!

My 97 TBird is now my winter beater, still has the coolant leak and the valve seals are going but I love it! My 97 Mark LSC is the absolute best and the most fun car I've ever owned. You should look in to getting one too, a nice Gen 2 97 or 98 can be had for surprisingly a modest cost!!

Welcome aboard!!

Thanks Monkey! Awesome pics!

But really... you call that snow? ;)

Glad to have you here, that was a great meet, with some unbelievable cars!

LOL Yea, I knew you guys would want to compare snow fall amounts.

To which I must say I don't live in Chicago or Jersey. Yea, that's not snow as you know it but a nice dusting we had back in Feb. It melted that afternoon. Most snow we get around here melts within 24 to 48 hrs. One of the bennies of living in the South and I don't regret that one bit. I use to live in Northern Ohio and do know the true meaning of snow!

Thanks for the welcome. Nice snow pix Steve. You guys can have it. ;)

Hi Bud, that photo's from the same snow storm (Feb. of this year) that brought 3" to Charlotte when I took the pictures of our Lincoln that I posted at the beginning of this thread. We caught the southern tip of that weather front and you caught the worst of it up in Maryland and PA.

Here's hoping that this winter is more forgiving than last winter.

Here are some more pictures that I took that day. No shoveling required. :D

No shots of the grey car huh...

I see how it is... I'm good enough to have my doors blown off when I'm already doing 120, but not for a few pics huh? :D

BTW, where's that vid? :D :D :D

I looked through my collection for pictures of your car. I think you were hot lapping at the track so I couldn't take your picture. :D

I thought this was your car stashed among the Tbirds in the photo below but it's Sherm's convertible. IDK where you were parked at on Saturday night? Sorry I didn't get any pix of your car.

I'll crop and upload that "particular" video to YouTube for you. Since you asked for it. :D I need to get my membership dues paid so that I can get HTML turned on and I can embed the video.

I'll try to get that video ready for ya tomorrow.

Thanks Driller. You need a better or newer camera. What's with the pink tint?

Now that you know I have a Lincoln too I would ask you to go easier on me but I beat myself that day. I'll get ya next time. ;)

You wouldn't happen to want to run them heads up would ya? :p

LOL, the wife needs a new camera. Sounds like a great gift coming up.

Now that I know you have a Lincoln, I'll won't bust your chops any more (or less, LOL). :D

As far as next time, I'll be waiting for you at the SC Shootout, SSHS 10 or the SSoTN Fall Nationals. ;)

boy thats a nice looking convertible. It looks like someone did a hell of a lot of work to get it like that. Glad to see the new owner is enjoying it.

Saturday night Sax was driving in reverse at the hospital. And over mountains. And I didn't spill a drop.

And Chris, that convertible and the work you did sucks (for me whose car always looks just like it's been driven hard and put away wet).
