Tuning chip for ECU

Misanthropy

Information Junkie
I have a previous chip from my 93. I am sending it in to Torrie to be burned again.

What should I have done? stock 97

For the basics no torque converter lock up until 45 MPH and no OD til 55.

My 93 had Blue Oval Chips built transmission, I wish I still had it!

So as far as shift pressures etc. any recommendations ?

You can use the chip without having to buy anything but the chip will obviously need to be reprogrammed.

With the Gen2, you also have the option of a SCT programmer which flashes the ECU through the OBD2 diagnostic port. New tunes may then be emailed to you and downloaded to the device via a USB cable.

Each program supplier will have a select group of parameter changes for a Mark VIII. Most of the engine parameters will be limited due to being stock, but your transmission/TC parameters can be made to your liking.
