Under the hood squeek '99

I have a 1999 Continental. On a cold start (especially during the winter) there is a variable squeeking noise coming from under the hood until the engine warms up. I am sure it is a serpentine belt pulley, but any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you do replace the belt....get the Gater-back belt. A much better belt!! BTW, that was MY problem too, the belt. Only after replacing items I did NOT have to replace, did I find out. Don't repeat my mistake!

My Mark did the samething, took about 10 miles of driving for it to stop. After a few months it never stopped (I was not afraid of hitting any deer). Changed everthing first the belt, then the pullies. It turned out to be the tensioner itself.

I FINALLY got around to fixing it (forgot about it over the summer because it did not squeek). The squeek was coming from the idler pulley on the drive belt tensioner. There was so much excess room to work between the tensioner and the frame (joke for those of you who haven't been there), I decided to replace the whole tensioner assembly, the upper idler pulley, and the belt (a gator-back of course). Took about 3-4 hours and it helps to have small hands. Thanks again for all of your help!
