Water Leak Into Trunk

Wondering if anyone has had a problem similar to mine. It happened to be raining hard one day and I noticed my trunk was wet on the inside, I figured from me loading up stuff while the rain was being blown in by the wind, but then I saw it drip from the underside. It seems that water is leaking in through a crack in the seam sealer around the trunk lip. It then drips into the trunk from the seam next to the drivers side trunk bracket. I was able to check this on a dry day by squiring water on the outside of the trunk and seeing where it went and came in. I haven't checked to see what it would cost, but I'm sure having the seam sealer removed, replaced, and repainted won't be cheap. I was thinking of just getting some clear silicone sealer and putting it where I know the water is coming in. It shouldn't really be visible unless you're looking when the trunk is up. My car is garaged, so it may have been this way for awhile, I just happened to notice it. Unfortunately just after being out of Lincoln's 5 year covergae for rust/leakthrough!

Any comments? Suggestions? Thanks!
