The awesome mark has been moved. Where is it, the link at the bottom saying it was moved doesn't work. Why was it moved?

It is too bad these things get moved around. A car like that only goes for sale every once in a blue moon, and it can't even be discussed on here?!

The benefit of becoming a member is you can view posts started by non-members that were moved by 'moderators' to a 'members-only' forum? Unfortunately it is moves like that, that have turned me off to staying a dues paying member......and I was for years. Not to mention I was a user on these boards before there was any 'dues', just discussions on Mark VIII’s

This was discussed for a long time months ago and everyone agreed that only members can post about auctions. This was to prevent just anyone from posting about auctions in order to get their bids inflated.
You are right to be confused Ken as the post in question actually should not have been moved to the auctions forum in the Members Only section. It should have been moved to the trash since the original poster is not an LOD member.
Please keep in mind, however, that if the seller of the vehicle in question wants to put up a separate post in the for sale section of this board then there is nothing to stop him from doing that, as long as it does not reference back to the auction.

I don’t agree and I think you're missing my point. A Mark VIII like that only comes along maybe once every 3-4 years that is for sale. The last one I can remember is the 'TASCA Mark'. Because of the bureaucracy of this board and the 'rules' the discussion of the car is quickly deleted/moved. I understand the point of the e-bay rule, and have always abided by it, but when you get caught up in ‘rules’ and don’t even think about exceptions, you’ll miss out on great discussions on cars like that.....but hey, the 'rules' weren’t violated? The point of your e-bay rule was not this car.
I really thought that was an awesome car, and it is too bad I can’t talk about it here.

I'm a bit surprised at all this. I'm the person who originally posted the "awesome Mark" of eBay. I had no idea we weren't supposed to put up auctions. I'm in no way affiliated with that car, I just thought it was cool, and relevant to the board. I think the auction has ended anyways, but the title contained "hot rod lincoln" if anyone wants to search for it.

Not to get into this too deeply, the LOD "club" is seperate from the LOD "board" Somebody has yet to understand what seperate means. And they asked me to do something for them, i did what i thought was fair, they then either got another moderator to do what they want or they did it themselves, and if they did it themselves thats not "allowed" I dont like people going over my dicisions when its not there place. If another moderator did it, then we just need to chat real quick. But i doubt thats what happened. If you wish to discuss to issue futher moe, please email me, or A=Im me on AIM.

There is no agenda here folks and if you look at the rules and the text at the auction forum it states "Only club members are allowed to post auctions. Posts by non club members will be deleted." Secondly, More than one alert was received about the post from people who knew the rule.
Maybe it's time for anotehr change...
