Pete, I agree with you, and this post is in no means in your direction. But the kicker here is that this seems to happen every time a post gets deleted. Whats even more funny is that it is usually the posts that have a lot of hits and a lot of replys to them, so that would indicate to me that a lot of people want to talk about that subject. So, in governing a working message board, in which you would like people to contribute financially to, it might be a better idea to let people talk about what they want to talk about if you ever expect anyone to pay to uphold this service. </vent off>

The COB does not have the power to do a SINGLE thing. The COB RELIES on the rest of the BOD in order make changes. You wanna see a copy of the boardroom forum when I was COB? I'm sure I have one somewhere. It's a post by me with follow ups from Splat and Steve (non-BOD members), maybe even me talking to myself, and that's it. There was very little participation from the rest of the BOD.

And when I did "take the bull by the horns" I got ( female dog ) at for "trying to control the club".}( I just love that one. Why do you think I didn't run for a board position?

When I did try to examine the situation and relate to the membership what shortcomings I found within the organization, I fell victim to an unprovoked attack and outright slander of my name. LOD's solution was to trash the thread. I realized then that no one REALLY cared.

It's easier to pay your $20 and ( female dog ) and moan all day about what's wrong with LOD. I think the people on the BOD are great and want to do good, it's the SYSTEM that doesn't work. At this point, I really don't care if it gets fixed or not. I'm here to have fun and talk about cars. Nothing else.

Well, I'm sorry for initially posting the auction then, I really had no idea it was against the rules. But on the plus side, this is the most action I've seen on here in a long time, how bout some of you guys go down to the Continental section every now and then, we get lonely down there :D Chris

Guys lets understand this, I never deleted the post, my head was gone over and it was done. Second this is not the correct forum , or thread for this discussion. Alot of people are mad at the way the Lod is being run. Im also one of those people, im taking a hands on approch to helping, if you guys dont like something, just tell me in a PM or email. Publically in an off topic thread is not the place.

I saw that Mark VIII and it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!
How dare someone remove it and deny other Mark VIII enthusiast the chance to see such a marvelous Mark VIII only allowing the privileged to view it. If it didn't belong there it should have been moved to a place where EVERYONE could have seen it.How would you like it if the senators, congressmen and other members of the legislature were the only people allowed to see the marvelous D.C. Buildings, and everyone else could not? That would suck for you and me!

If everyone is all up tight about posting in the right forums, well guess what? In the Glove Box forum there are two posts about Carlisle. Should not those posts be moved to the SPECIFIC CARLISLE FORUM!!! Oh, my mistake, they have a little guy next to there name so they can do whatever the hell the want :)

It seems like some members are caught up in all the rules and not willing to take a step back and resolve the situation in a reasonable manner! Next thing you know this thread will be lock or moved to a place where only the "members" can reply. That kind of stuff turns active participants aka members of this site away.

i have you all beat... you guys think the car is nice in pics but i was there when it was tunned by jerry. i also got to ride in it as well.
