I checked the underside of the dash, I pulled the plastic back and I checked out the silver box. It had a grey thing connected to it with a few letters and numbers, but nothing matching the "three letters and a number" that everyone talks about. The silver box had nothing on it. I also pulled off the black plastic clip, that didn't have what I was looking for either. Can anyone explain why each computer has a different code?

pull the clip again, and pull the module down and turn it around so you can see the port where you would install a chip. I has a plastic snap on/off cover on it. (mine was black) should be a sticker right there under the part #, above the bar code. Could be a different combination than 3 letters and one number. i.e X3Z3.
