Will 99 Cobra Intake Fit Gen 2?

I hear that a 96-98 Cobra intake is a direct swap on a Gen 2... but what about a 99-02 Cobra intake? It looks a little different. Anyone know if it will work? Thanks.

I agree with above and there many prefix bogus intakes out there. on the other hand there are o3 mach 1 heads complete with cams on karkraft.

Cheapest would be from '99 and up Lincoln continental C-heads, then you of course have all the cobra mustangs from '99 up to '04. If done right and within reasonable budget its worth it.

Your going to be spending more on swapping heads (IE Gaskets, studs and allot of time) for small gains. Better to find a 96-98 Cobra intake.

Well here's a list of everything I've done so far I have a 373 Trac-loc rear end
A balanced 3.5"driveshaft (one piece)
Trans mod w/hd/ brackets
Under drive pulleys
Kooks three-quarter length headers and X pipe with 2 1/2 inch tubes to rear rounded out with Dynomax race bullets
SCT Blue-oval chip from supercoupe performance
10 mm LiveWire set with high-performance coils
Completely rebuilt front suspension with 1.75 inch sway-bar
new IRS bushings
Stainless steel brake line Kit at all four corners fresh calipers and rotors all the way around
1.25 inch rear sway bar n energy grease able bushings
KYB STRUTS AND SHOCKS WITH ARNOT HEAVY DUTY COIL SPRING SET
I JUST PICKED UP A BEAUTIFUL 99-02 COBRA INTAKE UPPER AND LOWER WITH FRESH THROTTLE-BODY
Also put a down payment on a set of 99-01 C heads
So I would really like to eventually have 450 to 500 hp of streetable heavy-duty every day driver,
A CAR FOR CANNONBALL TYPE RALLIES
my other alternative was to get parts from MMR. Heads, intake etc.

And most important of all I have three teenage kids to put through school so money is very tight-ish, soooo I'm still trying to build a hot rod on a budget
Should I sell this intake n look for the simple 96 to 98 Cobra intake, port ,polish n flow my heads
Maybe new cams and valves.
Sorry about the typos trying to type on iPhone is quite a task

Budget build does not apply once you start pulling heads.

If you don't want to bust the piggy bank, just do the Cobra intake and hope you can sell that intake for what you have in it.

If you pull the heads, then go to C-heads, custom cams and the intake... just don't expect 450 HP without a lot of other work.

Does anyone out there in the Midwest know of a competent teksid/4.6 or cobra mechanic in the Chicagoland area?
I've noticed there are plenty of videos on how to ,what would be nice to have someone with years of experience with these motors to gain knowledge from. I'm guessing there must be an LOD Chicago chapter no?
