Wilwood brakes

Just got the front brakes finished up.

13" x 1.25" 6 piston calipers. Had these for about a year now. Just got around to doing the mustang hub swap.

One interesting note:

Stock rotor, caliper, pads and caliper bracket..........30.0 pounds
Wilwood rotor, caliper, pads and caliper bracket.......21.2 pounds

There were 2 areas that needed slight grinding.

One the spindle, not too much needed grinding.

Then on the caliper bracket itself. I'll snap a pic tonight. I had to take off about 1/2" where the bracket hit spindle right about where the sway bar endlink attaches to the spindle. Other than that, they fit just fine.

There was a group purchase last summer through a local mustang website. I think I paid about $1400. I can't believe they are 8.8 pounds lighter than stock. I should have gotten the 14" rotors.

Sweet dude! They look odd compared to other rotors but I think its due to the big inner hub portion.

I believe they look different because of the bolt on of the rotor to the hat section.

Here is a picture of where I had to do some grinding on the caliper bracket.
