Window motor plugs replacement

I had to replace these this week, the driver's window wouldn't go up in the Black 94. You could hear the motor running, it clunks and jerks a bit, but eventually won't raise the window.

These window motor plugs connect the window motor to the gear. They fail often, they are cheap and available at any parts store, but a little annoying to change.

To change them, you remove the door pad and water shield, remove the 3 bolts that hold the motor and remove it (hold on to motor when removing the last bolt) then remove the cir clip from the gear and then remove the cover plate. Then you pull the gear off, clean out the old shredded plugs and put the new ones in.

Here's some photos, the first photo shows the gen 1 motors on the bottom and a spare gen 2 motor on top (they are different).

This doesn't change the speed of the windows.

The Mark VIII windows are the fastest I've seen, both generations.

Okay good, i was a little worried. After coming from a crown vic (those god awful motors and regulators) and even seeing alot of these newer cars window speed i was a little surprised with this cars windows, they let good amounts of air in in the summer too.
