Check This Out

RE: Check This Out

Too good to be true ....
My guess is you make a purchase and the FBI makes the delivery ...

RE: Check This Out

It's a hoax. Without getting into detail, they are breaking several law's. They set up the site to make it look like they are working through loop holes, but they are clearly not. For starters, It would be illegal to ship a gun across state lines to a private home.

If I had to take a w.a.g. I would say that it was a site put up by an anti gun person trying to scare people into thinking how easy it would be for criminals to purchase guns. If it was for real, the atf would have shut the site down and arrested everybody by now. It would also be all over the news.

RE: Check This Out

I checked them out they are a legit company registered and all. Their telephone number is legit..etc.

The only thing I can think of is that they are sold as kits.

RE: Check This Out

They claim to send the handguns as a whole. Even as a kit it is illegal to send or sell the machine guns. I think it was the wheaton act that spells it all out.

I am still of the opinion that it is a hoax set up by somebody that has not done their homework.

RE: Check This Out

Badass. Not that i can't walk into any gun store in MI and buy a handgun legally (i have a CCW). But $400 for a desert eagle is unbelievable. Maybe i'll order one COD.

RE: Check This Out

Dave. Might I suggest that you have one of your roomates answer the door when they deliver it.

still a hoax

RE: Check This Out

i'm pretty sure it's a hoax too. I'd still have ordered it if it were available COD (not like i'm breaking the law, it's completely legal for me to buy a handgun, as long as i register it within a certain period of time). But they want 50% up front + shipping if you're ordering COD.

I headed over to fbi.gov and submitted the link to them. Companies like that give reputable gun dealers and owners a bad name, if that is even a real company.

RE: Check This Out

You would be breaking the law by accepting it. Receiving something that you know to be illegal is a crime. A reasonable and prudent person would know that you cant buy a weapon wihout id and a background check.

It's kinda like receiving stolen goods. The govt does not have to prove that you knew it was stolen. Only that a reasonable and prudent person would have known that a brand new big screen tv does not cost $25.00.

But i do have ID and i can buy a weapon without a background check in MI. I have a CCW, and in this state that allows me to walk into any gun store whenever i want and walk out with a handgun. I can even have it loaded and tucked into my waistband if i so desire. The only requirement is that i register it at the police station within 5 (i think, may be 10) days.

RE: Check This Out

Dave, you are correct that you can buy a firearm legally. The problem is that you are doing it in an illegal manner. By accepting a firearm shipped across state lines to are an accomplice to the crime. I understand what you are getting at. You are saying that it is legal to purchase a gun because you have taken the proper steps. The problem is with the method used to obtain it.

We can use my tv example again. If that same person took the tv to a pawn shop and sold it for $25 dollars the pawn shop is required to follow certain proceedures which includes running the serial number. The tv could still be stolen, but if the serial number is not reported then you could purchase it from them for $25. This would show that you took reasonable steps to ensure that the tv was legit. Ultimately you have the same tv for $25, but in this case you folled a legal proceedure.

More likely a government sting operation. But then again, it doesn't sound like something Ashcroft would do.

It's 10 days, plus you can't:

Carry a concealed pistol in a place of worship, court, school, the classroom or dormitory room of a college or university, hospital, sports arena, casino, an entertainment facility which seats more than 2,500 people, a dining room or bar which is licensed to serve alcohol, or day care center. A parent or guardian is not precluded from carrying in a vehicle if dropping off or picking up a student at school. It is lawful to carry concealed in a place of worship with the permission of the presiding officials of that place of worship.

I Love it, if it's less then 2,500 people in an arena it's "ok" LOL!

Plus you can ask the Padre for permission to pack Heat for Mass!! LMAO!

MI has some wild Gun laws.

RE: Check This Out

Michigan is one of the worst states when it comes to gun laws. It used to be that anybody could apply for a permit, but nobody ever got one. At that same time, anybody from Indiana could carry one in their state, but they could not carry one in Indiana.

They got some of the stuff straitened out, but it is still a mess when it comes to gun law's.
