Today I was lost in an industrial park in Mineola, LI. As I aimlessly drove down one street I slammed on the brakes because parked there on this dismal street was the most amazing 1941 Chrysler Town & Country I had ever seen. That car is the one pictured below

It was parked outside a nondescript building with a sign that said T&C Restorations. Of course I had to go in. Well I'm still suffering from shock, the place was FULL of at least 30 1930's and 1940's Chrysler Town & Country sedans, coups, and a wagon, all in various stages of restoration from rust buckets to concours condition. I'd stumbled upon the business of a retired accountant who specializes in the restoration and sale of these cars.
I fell in love with one wood encapsulated marvel but at $138,000 it was a bit too rich for my blood.
I have to go back to see him in a couple of days as he's interested in my towels so I'll bring my camera and take lots of puctures.
I'm still drooling!
