Well, I made the drive down to Las Vegas from the SF Bay area today - almost 9 hour drive. I'll be down here through Friday for a software conference.

I brought a little laptop along, and they have high-speed Internet access in the rooms for $10/day, and it looks like it's working OK.

I'm really tuckered right now, so I'm gonna' check out - but I just wanted to check out the access. I'll hopefully be able to catch back up tomorrow evening...

Be prepared to walk 4 miles a day from thru the hotel to the convention hall.

I'll bet Chris knows all the right "houses" to visit.

Which car did you take John? Also, did you go down hwy 5 or 99 to Bakersfield, then out 58 through Barstow? Then 15? Thats the way we all went when we towed our caravan of drag cars to "The Strip" a couple years ago. I always said I would love to do that exact drive in my Mark VIII. It sucked in the pick-up... not enough leg room.

p.s. Stop at "Peggy Sue's" on the way back, just before you get to barstow. Great little "Diner" style eatery. Drive safe buddy!

Boy - you guys were right about that 4 mile walk!!!

Chris - looking at the scedule, they've got stuff booked up for us, (dinners, shows, etc.),until about 10PM each nite! I'm probably not going to get any real time until Friday afternoon, when it finishes at 1 in the afternoon. I'm planning on staying somewhere here Friday night, then driving back Saturday, so my Friday afternoon and evening are free right now - ya' want to connect some where in there?

Te - I tried to talk to your GF, but there were too many guys to get through... :eek:

Chris, I go to Las Vegas at least three times a year. I have been to almost every major casino opening in the last 10 years. I would love for you to show me something new. What is her name and how old?

John, ON Friday we are going to the race track around 7 or so untill 12 or 1 A.M.

My friend is looking for his first 8 sec timeslip in his supra.
And this town doesn't really "open " untill after 10 P.M. anyway.
If you would care to see women in various forms of undress let me know.;-)
