No OBL, No WMD, but SH. One out of three ain't bad. I'm relieved for all the soldiers there. Maybe this will cause the "insurgents" to put down their home-made car bombs and ambushes. And now maybe the Iraquis can start to chill out and begin to lead normal lives without worrying about their every move. But most off all, I hope all the soldiers come back home soon...

Can you just *imagine* the fear and uncertainty within the highest levels of government in Syria, Libya, Iran, Egypt... and North Korea?
Saddam is worth much more to the US (and to the world) alive. And able to talk.
Life just got a helluva lot more interesting.

i wonder what info we will get out of him?????
I think its much better that we got him alive, it does alot more for his followers when they see a broken man crawling with critters than a dead man that can still be considered a hero.
I cant wait to see if there actually were weapons of mass destruction... i am doubting it though.

A guy I work with, his son is part of the 4th infantry who captured the bastard. I wonder how close he got to that scum bag?

Yeah..I am a little doubful too of what info, if any, they will get from him. It was being reported for some time that Saddam was "behind" all the suicide bombings, and the semi-organized attacks. After reading further and finding out he was captured with no one important with him and nothing in the way of communication devices, I'm not sure if his ragged-looking-butt-living-in-a-hole could be able to organize anything. But I REALLY hope this puts an end (or diminishes) the suicide bombings and such and will allow the Iraquis to lead a more normal life, and bring the soldiers back home.

they said he had the minutes from a recent insurgent meeting on him, and they said they had been delivered to him by courier. So he had something to do with it, but he was too much on the run to be very active in organizing it. They have been able to arrest others based on the information they found when they arrested him.
