I got 30 days in jail!

Yup yesterday in Newport News Va, i was sentanced to 30 days in jail for going 96 in a 60mph jone, 20 days was suspended and the last 10 days was plea'd down to 10 hours comunity service.

Word of advice Dont speed in Va they take excessive speed much more serious Take 2nd Time Dui drivers ( 3 2nd and 3rd time dui drivers got lessor sentances then Me )


Also... A dam good lawyer really does help

There's a life lesson for you, always keep an unopened bottle of vodka in the back seat. If you get pulled over for excessive speed, open it up and start chugging.

And a good lawyer is worth his/her weight in gold, which is about how much they charge per hour :) Better than spending 30 days in the slammer, though (you know why they call it the slammer? ;) ).

I do my CS in Ny, 10 hours worth. Yea a good lawyer is worth it, in this case it cost me 950 for the case and 2 hours extra work on continuence cost another 450

What I have personally found out in Virginia is that if I sent in my fine, the ticket never showed up in my MD driving record. Can't tell you what happens after a court appearance, but I kinda look to see that NY will never know.....unless your insurance agent drives a Mk VIII !

I have "heard" that only the tri-state area and Florida are the only states that share records in N.Y.
I hope that's true for your sake Petey as I know you have at least 1 total car loss (Camaro) on your insurance too.

Yea my Tran ams was a hit on my Ins. but its still not too bad, taking the lincoln off saved me 4400 ( dont asked me how thats more then 65% the premium )
