Ice Storm '04

RE: Ice Storm '04

Nice, I love the rearend picture of the mark, Thats what i call BLACK ICE.

RE: Ice Storm '04

Get a car cover for that poor Mark, it looks coold.

I think Sandy will back me up on this one, you don't put a car cover on a car when there is going to be ice.

RE: Ice Storm '04

I second that... A few years ago, I had a '96 Thunderbird LX sport, which was kept outside. A little snow & ice during the winter, & the cover will freeze to the car. I found this out when trying to sell it. People came to look at it & I could only show them the back half, as the cover was frozen to the hood/roof. I was not willing to ruin a $200 cover (or risk damaging the paint). They had to come back in a few days after it had thawed a bit more. But, at least they ended up buying it.

No Jay, I ment now, it looks cold with the ice on it :p

RE: Ice Storm '04

Absolutely never ! Did that for the one & only time with "Winkin" ~ only takes one time to learn THAT :( Major!

Jay, don't pull on those door handles either!! BTW, that sucker is coming to New Jersey tomorrow evening! Man, am I ever glad greenKIN is now IN the crotch! Costing me an arm & a leg, having had to put the blue Mac in commercial storage along with the grey-coupe. Commercial Storage is very expensive in Jersey. I am looking to rent a clean, secure, reasonably safe single garage within a mile of my house. (Like looking for a 1960 Edsel Convertible ! - 76 were made).

RE: Ice Storm '04

well a tree just fell right next to my neighbors vette. Don't think it hit it at all though.

Sandy, I know about the door handles. I wiped down everything on the door seals with pledge before I came back down here. Had to go out this morning to get the camera out of the car. Lifted up on the door handle just enough to hear it unlatch and then pulled on the top of the door. Opened without any problem at all.

I am wondering if I should go out there and start it and let it shed all of its ice though.

RE: Ice Storm '04

Once again PLEDGE to the rescue!
If that was my Corvette, I'd be in intensive care right bout now!

RE: Ice Storm '04

Yes that is a caddy under the cover. A pretty beat up one too. The corvette is parked on the other side of the parking lot by my Mark. Kind of neat how you see the nicer cars go to the people with the Penthouses. And there both black :)

The tree that fell by the vette was a good 8 feet away or so.
