He had to have lost his arm.

You'd be surprised what surgeons can do these days. A teenager got his arms chopped off just above the elbow in a harvester. He had to dial 911 with his bony nub. They reattached his arms and he has 80% function two years later.

Have you heard about the surgeons who swapped two dogs heads? They are alive and well.

We'll be seeing this done to humans in our lifetime.

It's also suprising at times what cannot be done. We have come to a level in our society where we nearly expect the medical profession to do miracles, but often find the day to day reality is far from the much publicized spectacular cases we hear of.

I say this from not only personal observation but direct involvement in a hazardous occupation. A lot of old time 'drillers' have mangled hands and missing fingers from the harsh reality of our work around heavy steel drilling tools and tubular products. It is almost commonplace not to be shocked meeting a fellow 'driller' who's missing one or more appendages, almost a gruesome sign of experience. Several personal acquaintenances of mine have missing or disfigured fingers. I recently had the unfortunate experience of applying first aid to one of our 'seasoned' workers who had his hand and fingers severely hurt on the job. I remember waiting for the paramedics and continuing reassuring him everything would be OK and truly did feel the outcome would be good - considering we are in a college community with quite exemplarary medical facilities. I was heartbroken hours later when I learned they had to amputate an index finger and he would have very limited use of another. ;(

Hmmmmm………………………..

As a lawyer for animals who are unjustly cast in a bad light, my client was a victim of humiliation at the hand (formally “hands”) of this person and was only defending himself when he was attacked with a stick. Also my client is a victim of bad eyesight and has had his eyeglasses taken away since being unjustly incarcerated in the Florida prison system and thought the oriental gentleman was handing him a ham sandwich at the time the alleged attack took place. He came from a disadvantaged home life, seeing both of parents become a set of luggage at a young age for Donald Trump and an older brother who is still in Hollywood as several sets of shoes for a former boy band now doing Christian music…………if only I had attended law school
