it gives me great pleasure to formally announce the alliance of Lincolns of Distinction and The North East Lincoln And Cadillac Enthusiasts Club. please all members of lod register at nelce and treat nelce as you would this board and embrace our new 30 members like your family and they will embrace you the same way.

together we will make this an incredible new club and adeventure. we will get back to being the number 1 lincoln enthusiast gathering

Eric let me welcome the members of the NELCE to the LOD and let me just clairify a few things.

I have been talking with Eric and he left another club for various reasons. Well talking with him he stated how he wanted to help out here anyway he could. Basically what this comes down to is I have asked for him to help getting the metro chapter of the LOD going again and have put him up for the postion of President of the metro chapter (which I have asked to vote on this issue). What it comes down to is that Eric is asking members of the NELCE to come over here and join the LOD and in turn opening his arms up to LOD members at his site.

I'm a little confused here? Is this a "merging" with another club that also has Caddy enthusiasts? Was this discussed by the BOD? Wouldn't something like this be voted on by the memberhsip after discussions by the BOD? Did I miss something here?

Not really, we discussed it a little.

I read it more as they can join us, and if they have enough members they can be a chapter, and any of our members wishing to join them are free to do so. If they have enough members to form a chapter they can hold meets, etc. just as other chapters do.

exactly like i said its more about being a clubb than a website now. i want to see a big group of guys ngals and cars not ip addresses. so lets get on it :9

Basically Eric and myself talked about him and others at the NELCE coming over here and being that most are in the NY area becoming part of the metro chapter. In turn Eric has a site setup already and is asking interested LOD members to take a look at it and sign up on it as well. He has some meet information on the site and pretty much has it set up with a message board on it at as well.

As you can see in the Metro chapter area here, we have a few of the NELCE members being active in the chapter.

Welcome to the LOD. As Sharon stated, we are glad to have people who are enthusiastic about their cars and the club.

Eric and John and Trixie have echoed my thoughts pretty well. I'm a Mark VII collector that likes to share my hobby with other like minded people. It just so happens that it's easiest to do through the net via forums like this. As for clubs, it's easier for me to say which clubs I ~don't~ belong to (formally or informally).

I'm the one in the black shirt :)
