Hey, where were you guys today? Myself and a future member were the "Rocky and Bullwinkle" team this week! Leo and Matt, hope all is well with you guys and hope to see you there the week after next (weather permitting). I have to work late next Tuesday night.

I had the pleasure of meeting Greg (Boomer57) today. A very nice person indeed. Greg has a VERY sweet Dark Navy Blue (K4 color code) 1997 LSC. First time I saw a dark navy in person; quite a color!

RE: Sears in Hicksville

By the time the streets got dry in Queens,
it was too late for me to go.
Hopefully next week.
How many people showed up ?

RE: Sears in Hicksville

Being this was my first time, I don't know how many people usually show up. When I left at 6:45, there were about 50 or so cars there. Just myself and Greg representing the Marks though.

RE: Sears in Hicksville

It was my pleasure to meet you as well Anthony. Thanks for the warm welcome and inviting me to park next to you. I enjoyed the conversation and comparing notes about our rides. It was a good night, there were some really outrageous cars on display at Sears. You mentioned a web site for ordering replacement floor mats. Like most folks over 55 I've developed "CRAFT" disease, so I forgot it by the time I arrived home. Would you please post it for me? I joined LOD today, best $20 that I've spent in years. Thanks again,

RE: Sears in Hicksville

Where is Hicksville? I live in Tivoli(about 1/2hr north of Poughkeepsie) If it's not to far I might show up.

RE: Sears in Hicksville

Hicksville is on Long Island, it would be quite a ride for you, especially in rush hour. Traffic on the bridges and Long Island Expressway would ruin your evening before you arrived. The gathering seems to last only a few hours, most of the display cars seem to pack up and leave around 8pm or so. Hope this helped.

RE: Sears in Hicksville

Unfortunately I won't be there next week. I will definately be there the week after though. Doesn't that stink when you already know you have to work late x(

I see you got your green guy Greg!

RE: Sears in Hicksville

Cmon guys who is coming tomorrow night 5/20/03? I spent the whole day with my car and ZAINO yesterday...man oh man the car looks amazing. Turns heads like crazy!!!

RE: Sears in Hicksville

If I can wake up on time (I work nights),
I'll be there in a 1970 Chevelle ss-454,black with white stripes.
I was there last week with the LSC and froze my butt off.

RE: Sears in Hicksville

Leo-
Is there a spot you usually go to? Can you save me a spot if possible? I should be there by 6. I will look for you.
Thanks!

RE: Sears in Hicksville

Hi Anthony, I'm embarrassed to show up at the lot tonight, my Mark looks like a disaster hit it. They have been installing new curbs and road surfaces in my neighborhood for the past three weeks, and we've had dirt roads here since then. My cars are constantly covered with a THICK film of dirt, so much so that I have to hose them down before they're driven just to be able to see out of the windows. My once Deep Navy Blue exterior now matches my Prairie Tan interior! There is so much gritty dirt continually floating in the air that I dare not attempt to wash and polish them for fear of swirling their finishes. Luckly my Zaino order arrived after they started the work, so all of that effort wasn't wasted. The workers tell me that they'll be putting down a macadam cap (if the weather holds) by the end of the week and that should ease the situation. If so, I'll "Zaino" my baby up, and see you there next week. Have a great evening,

Hi Matt-
I got to meet Leo only as he was leaving then I waited by your SS and nobody came by the car that actually touched the car (I would have assumed only you would be touching the car). I had to leave at about 6:45 and I got there only at 6 (got stuck at work). I really hope this damn weather clears up and we can finally meet next Tues? I'm sorry I couldn't hang around longer. Also...by the time I got there I could not find one spot even close to all the action..
