RE: WFC10 News

Bill, this is from the ORP site:

Q: Is camping allowed at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis during events?
A: There is NO tent camping for any O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis events. If you are interested in tent or RV camping for ORP events contact Raceview Campgrounds at 317-852-5737. Raceview Campgrounds is not affiliated with O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis.

Isaac, Jay already told us about his new job and stuff. I just didn't know if he'd still be able to work something out.

RE: WFC10 News

Hello all...

I will see what I can do on the DI-IND location. One of my AGM's used to be the GM there so I am guessing I can work something out. I'll see what I can do on it here later this evening and will post my results up.

I am going to do my best to make it. I really can't say for sure if I'll be there yet though. If I do make it I'll need someone to pick me up from the airport... I could get a rental but most likely I'll be drunk from the free flight in first class. I'll also see what I can do in bringing our bartender with us ;)

RE: WFC10 News

Brad and I will stay where the majority are staying, unless we just drive down Saturday (for the day). It will depend on dog-sitter availability. . . .

RE: WFC10 News

I'm at work right now....

I need to know if we need a block of 9 rooms or if it will be more than that. It will reflect on the rates. Doesn't look like I will have as much pull on it as I did here but I will still see what I can come up with.

RE: WFC10 News

Jay, I don't think we'd fill 9 rooms - at least we can't guarantee that right now. Don't worry, if the rates aren't cheaper than those worked out by Mrs. Driller, we can just do the Extended Stay.

RE: WFC10 News

Mrs. Driller talked to the Drury @ Indy. Jay may be able to pull more weight, but here's what she was told.

1. Only about 15 rooms are remaining.
2. They go for $94-$104 per night - varying by night of stay.

We need to settle quickly where to stay while prime choices are still available. ;)

RE: WFC10 News

Well, really, considering how little time we end up spending at the hotel, I'd go for the cheaper one, as it is much cheaper.

... and a wee bit closer. ;)

Unless someone objects, I can have Mrs. driller set up a group rate at the Extended Stay. Then all you need to do is call for reservations and request the "Lincolns of Distinction" group rate. I will post the needed details once it's set up if there are no objections.

RE: WFC10 News

I can't say for sure yet what my plans are if I'll 100% make it, ride with Joe again, or drive on my own and get in a little later, but if Joe wants to share a room with me, that's cool.

RE: WFC10 News

RE: WFC10 News

That sounds good to me JP.

The best I could do at the Drury was $79.99/night and that was 2 double beds. Sorry it took so long to post. My laptop was down... the Dell tech guy just left and its feeling much better now.

I'm not 100% sure I will make it yet but I will try my best. Nice that the hotel is right there by the airport :)

I own a Mark, and if I'm going to be there I'm not going to be driving.

I second the Saint Elmo's! I've eaten there and it's fantastic. I can't remember if I've been to Morton's, but I'm sure it's bomb. By the way, if I can swing this '97 double black LSC with moonroof, heated seats, and chrome octastars with 62k miles for $6500 that's nearby, you may see me in my own whip this time.
