Finally 13's, but not by much

I went out to Ubly dragway today for testing and tuning. Not many cars there, and most were 11 seconds or faster, so i didn't get many fair races. But i did get 23 passes in.

Best time and best 60'

Best trap speed

1/4 14.075 100.782 mph

I got 8 13.9 passes, 12 14 flat passes, a 14.1, a 14.2, and a 15.4 (spun pretty bad on that one, still ran 100 mph). I had 9 100 mph trap speeds, and 9 1.9x 60' times.

23 passes! Holy smokes!! It would take me 5 to 6 trips to the track to get that many runs in! I'm jealous.

Good times though. I would love to hit high 13s and 100mph trap speeds. Looks like what I need are headers and a higher stall converter to keep up with you guys.

You just have to go on the right day. Last time i went to the strip i got 19 passes in, the time before that, 38.

The only thing that sucks is that on those days, you don't get to line up against many people you want to race. I don't think i won a race today. Almost everybody there was 11 seconds or faster.

The closest race i had was against a newer WS6 with drag radials. I actually beat him off the line, but he drove past me and ran a 13.2.

My best 60' is 2.02. I think your 1.9 is pretty good.

Damn man 23 passes?? You gotta take it easy on your ride! Let that thing cool down a bit. A 1.93 in the 60ft kicks ass.
100.7 mph though... that Gen 2 is starting to make some power now. Glad to finally see a gen 2 that is quick. Miracles can happen I guess.
A short runner cobra intake would be a nice piece to add to get another mph or two on that slip.
Electric water pump perhaps? 150 shot NOS?

Looks like you have a couple weeks to try and beat some of Eli's and my old times before we get our cars running and slaughter them. 12's N/A here we come! :O)

Nitrous is definitely on the short list of "things to do to the car". But it's going to be awhile, probably next spring. I'm buying a house right now, so i'm going to be broke for awhile. And i also want a boat. But then again, the house i'm looking at has a pretty nice 2.5 car garage, so i'm going to have to do something with it.

*so how many of us on here are safing for a house im one of those, i am either thinkin of getting a 90 model cougar or a latemodel mk 8 and make it into a drag car, that way i can have a little project car, so when i have money buy part here and ther, like the guy here at work thow in a 302 in my 96 mk8, sound like a good idea cheaper, then of course this coming from a guy that has a drag boat w/ a 455 block, 671 blower running off alci-hol, i plan on just gutting the car, just driver bucket seat, take bumper rebar and etc... to lightn either car that i might get, well like they say, "THERES ALWAYS DREAMS"
