Ice on my windshield...in Anaheim!

This is a first for me. I go to run the windshield washer and blue slush comes out. Then the wipers scrape across the ice and it doesn't come off. I didn't have time to manually scrape, but after a mile of driving it is gone. This Orange county...Disneyland, Orange groves...the park (Disneyland annual passholder) was virtually empty yesterday.

So what's with this global warming thing again?...

"what's with all this global warming ___?"

well...first off, keep in mind, all these "records" we are breaking were set back in the 1930's and 1940's...if you ask me, the atmosphere is returning to normal!

as for ice on the windshield, just cut a piece of cardboard the size of your windshield, and place it over the glass the night before....works for me! I'm up in Sonoma county, Ca...the last few weeks have seen temps in the teens overnight.

Just fire up the beast, let it come to operating temp, and select DEFROST....that's what it is for.

lol...learning some things about the car that are only typically relevant in the colder climates.

I'll remember the cardboard tip, though it's only gotten down to 40 lately.

Another tip from the salt belt - when parking, lift your wipers off the windshield to prevent icing solid. Looks funny and you have to remember to put them back down, but it's effective. ;)
