I have been reading and alot of people are saying alot of parts from the Tbird are the same as are VIII's. The question I have is. Are the front control arms upper and lower the same as a T bird's and if so when I look them up they have diff. part #'s as the ones for the Mark VIII why is that. Dose anyone know   Thanks Ron

The uppers are different due to the air suspension. The lowers are the same.

If you have a coil spring conversion you can use T bird UCAs.
There are TONs of parts in common.

As I say often.... get TRW/Moog parts! Anything else, especially with the lower control arm and ball joint, may fail prematurely.

Also I think the supercoupe parts are what you want. I dont know t-birds too well, but I think that had the 4.6L, I am not sure if the parts on all t-birds ar the same, but I always get 96 supercoupe parts.

I thought SuperCoup was selling the lowers that "bend" after a while. I got my lower t-bird arms for my 95 Mark from RockAuto.com as have several M8 owners/customers in the past.

The only difference with the upper control arms is the little ball stud for the ride height sensor to attach to.

The lowers are exactly the same, but a cheaper price, strange :D

Jesse he is talking about the car (Tbird supercoupe) and not the website (supercoupeperformance.com).

And yes get the moog parts from rockauto.com good quality and a great price.

Ya... DUH J :p LOL

I heard about the cheap one bending!!!! Crazy when you think about such a critical part doing that. Also brands besides the TRW/MOOG seem to rust!

By the way, TRW and MOOG are all the same, I sorta found that out.....

Thanks that all helped. Im in Canaan im north where Mass, NY and CT meet I know where New Canaan is if you take rt7 north into Danbury then all the way up tourd Mass thats where Canaan is prob. about 2hrs away

Just installed my T-Bird(NOT SUPERCOUPE ONES! haha) lower control arms tonight...fit like a glove.

Well yeah....I don't want them to be loose! My old ones made enough noise, haha!

just to let u know the supercoupe's were supercharged 3.8L's, and production of supercoupe's ended in model year 95, in 96 there was an lx, and sport, and only n/a 3.8L and 4.6L
