From Detroit, MI to MA, who is along the way?

I'm going to have a MA plate, it won't be a temp either. You can't get temp plates in MA. You actually have to have the title in hand to register and insure it. So I'm getting the title from Eric in the next week or so, then it will be registered and insured. After that I will fly out and pick it up.

I keep thinking about going the US only route but to get home from Alternative Auto where it will be retuned, it will be nearly 2 hours longer. Just shy of 14 hours. I hate long drives!

J, I'm thinking I will be picking it up from Eric sometime around June 5th or 6th. Will you be able to get the COP's and covers to him before then?

From Lidio's I'd go thru Port Huron/Sarnia border crossing if you want to stick with the original plan. Lot less traffic and less problems on the border (nicer customs people there that in downtown Detroit).

Covers will be there (Eric's), or at Lidio's since you're gonna be there anyway, right ?

That's what I was getting at was the tittle and plate issues. I make it to Lidio's in two hours from my house as I cross the Toledo RT 2 bridge to I-75. Coming out of Toledo Rt 2 turns into I-90 just west of Cleveland, if you are going east that direction. Otherwise I have driven many times from Cleveland to Hartford CT via I-80 and usually did it in 10.5 hours or so.
Glad to see you are getting a tune with Lidio, I am sure you will be pleased.

J, I will be at Lidio's as long as he can fit me in for a retune. I won't know the exact date for a few more days. I really want to get it retuned before I come back because the I don't have too much confidence in the SCT tuner local to me. I'm thinking if you haven't had it tuned since the smaller pully it may break the 400 rwhp mark. Anyway, I can't wait to drive that beast.

If that tuner doesn't work out let me know I know a guy that was trained by Jerry from SCT. He's in Hartford so its not too much out of the way.

Lol....didn't he already sell it like 3 months ago?! Or are you just now getting around to picking it up?

nope, you are correct, i'm owner #2 ha ha. I think he sold it last in December. The current owner decided he wanted a blown marauder instead, so lucky me.

Lmao.....definitally lucky you!

First thing on your list........a GOOD drive-by video!(no offense J, but those weren't that good, lol)

I'm not on your way home but I live about 2 miles away from the car, if that helps.:)

Well I decided I'm going to be going the all US route, it may take another hour and a half but its worth knowing that I won't have any border hassle. So I'm flying in on June 6th and will be leaving that night. I am still undecided if we are going to drive through the night or get a hotel. There's going to be 3 of us including me so driving through the night shouldn't be a problem. Anyway I'll be sure to put up some pics when I get home!

Well that will take you alittle farther south so I should be in that area then!

Oh and we are going to have to meet up sometime so I can see this beast!

I know that dosen't look like the fastest route but aside from going through Canada it's the fastest from what every damn mapping programing is telling me.

I'm down in southern CT. Really? Cause I think it would be WAY faster to take 80 to 84, then cut down to 95 in CT and take that all the way.

The only problem I can see with the 80 to 84 route is going through NYC, that is never fun. I'll see if I can map your route and see how long it will take.
