Finally got part of the interior update done

Well besides the headlights and the cobra heads that Im getting work done on I decided that the interior was alittle too bleak with all of that black so:

Im also doing the dash and the doors lines all the way back into the rear seat, Ill post more pics up as I go!
 
Yeah, used a rattle can. Some metallic silver.

Of course that was after I stripped off all the old rubberized paint and then sanded the parts down.

By the way it sucks to drive these cars around with no center console! lol
 
Lol! No console makes it like an old school hot rod :)

Looks good Matt, can't wait to see the entire dash/cluster/panels painted! I think the radio bezel AND the message center buttons would set it off if you do those too.
 
Well Im going to finish the dash then the doors and we will see what it looks like and go from there, he for alittle bit of time and some good old $7 spray paint I can always redo it if I dont like it!
 
Serious.....you can do wonders with spray paint and if you don't like it...spray it again! :)
 
Obviously, haha. I figured you were VERY poor and didn't have a picture so you had to "steal" that from tire rack, lmao. They don't have a "green/silver" one?
 
Looks fantastic ! They should have come like that from the factory, makes the interior look more modern. :D
 
I was thinking of doing the handle cups, but figured that I like it all black better(so far! :p) The passenger door is off now and that should be done this weekend, then the big one with the rear sides coming out! But that will be with the carpet and all the seats out too so I can start running wires for the stereo!
 
I love projects :D I think you should stick with the black.....just enough silver to make it unique, but not too much that its overkill. I wanted to get the black door handles, but they are riveted onto the door. :(
 
Sweet, I love it! I am doing something similar, but with leather and obviously not silver. If I can not get the leather to wrap right, then silver paint it will be!

I need to do something with the trim on my doors as well. The rubbery stuff is coming off.

Did you remove the door strips from the door pad to paint them?
