Back after a long absence.

It's been a while since I've posted here, like years. I guess I found it hard to make relevant posts while Lincoln-less and I guess I just sort of drifted away after trading in the Mark VIII and giving my son the Mark V.

I just picked up a nice '94 Town Car Signature with 55K miles. I might have something relevant to share now so I hope to be taken back into the fold. I still think highly of all the LOD members that I met in Houston, Carlisle, Chicago, Detroit and Port Clinton. I have yet to meet a nicer group of people than the LOD members I've met.

Ditto! Welcome back and hope to meet you at Carlisle! :)

Dave! How are you and Sandy doing! I remember how much fun we had hanging out with the two of you! Stick around, and hopefully we'll have some more meets this summer that you guys can come to!

I believe so :).

I just mentioned Sandy Block because he used to be a HUUUUGE poster, then he kind of fell of the planet once he got his Towncar.

Thanks everybody.

It just so happens that we are going to be driving to Virginia the same weekend as Carlisle. If we leave a day earlier than planned, we could arrive there for dinner Sat. night and spend Sunday at the show before we continue to Norfolk. We'd just have to work out a hotel room for the night, which as I recall wasn't easy during this event. I'll try to see what we can plan.

Sandy wants to take the new/old Town Car on this trip instead of the new car with warranty and roadside assistance but I don't know if I should register to park on the fairground or just park outside and visit.

Hotel rooms in the area are still available. Park on the fairgrounds. It is more convenient for you, plus it helps with club registration which may help us get more judging categories for next year.

Hope you can make it.

Please come! We would all love to see you again, and you should park with us, too :big-grin:

Absolutely bring the Town Car(very reliable) and park in the showfield! Your admittance and parking is all wrapped in one fee. Even a late registration is very affordable. :)

Does LOD have a block of rooms reserved someplace or is it hit and miss for finding a room?

Carlisle has been sending me registration forms every year since '01. Sandy already threw this year's away since we didn't expect to be going. I'll figure out how to register.

OK, so I registered at Carlisle under LOD affiliation and booked a room Saturday night. I just had an alignment, oil change and AC service on the Town Car. I guess I'm all set. I'll just have to invite myself to the LOD dinner Saturday night.
