The Evansville venue featured an autocross and thousands of beautiful cars.
Here was a nice looking T-bird with a blown DOHC.
Departure from Evansville started with a detour to avoid reported construction and the resultant traffic jam with thousands of cars. Apparently that had been an issue on previous days and the organizers figured the tour would be better moving along a longer route than sitting in single file for an hour or more. The rural KY countryside was quite beautiful and I loved the up/down curvy sections of the rural route.

We arrived in Memphis to a sweltering heat wave and luckily high winds. This venue included drag racing.
The following morning brought back a return of belt/tensioner issues that happened to make us a bit late but we made the drivers morning meeting and was glad to find no changes to the planned route to the Arkansas state fairgrounds.

I'll have to look into joining the tour next year.
I heard it will run from Little Rock, AR to Madison, WI by way of Omaha.

THAT's a major lure of the Hot Rod Power Tour. It would be cool to experience it solo, but to be part of a Lincoln convoy is just a grand experience.
