Removing Wooden Bezel Around Radio?

I am in the process of replacing the center console, ashtray and cup holders.

Does anybody know how to remove the wooden bezel what goes around the Radio Eatc and shifter without breaking it? I have a 97 Mark VIII LSC.

Thanks in advance...

go to the top of the lower panel, the one with the heated seats and rear window switches - and with your fingers pry it out from the top. Disconnect the wires and then remove the two screws that hold the bezel in place. Pry carefully away from the dash and youve got it. There are also 2 screws in the bottom of the console glove box. Remove the shifter plates and you have it loose.

Small Connector

There is a small connection wire (looks like a ground wire) next to the bigger plastic connector what was not hooked up in my old console, where is this supposed to be connected to?

Thanks
