Need opinions from the audio experts...

also i used to be a installer at stereo depot and i have installed 100's upon 100's of amp's and to be honest i really like this one amp from dhd i know it's a ghetto company but the ntx-3108 2000 watt digital monoblock amp and the cost is only around $250 and it pack's as much punch as a jl amp or many other top brand's

Quick question about the stock stereo setup. Through the magic of googling, I can only find that the stock amp is rated at around 132 watts. Anyone know what the speakers are rated at, max? I'm getting a sound system later this week (800 watt amp, two 12" 600 watt max subs) and am wondering if I need new speakers, too, or if that'll suffice. I figure if wattage is dispersed at 300 per amp, that would still leave 200 watts for the speakers, but going from 132 for speakers to 200, will that blow them?

Sorry if none of that makes sense-- I'm relatively new to the whole car audio thing. Any help that can be provided will be taken in kind, and the quicker the better as I'm hoping to have this done by Friday. :)

when i redid the stereo in my car i put a blaupunkt indash dvd unit 2-12" 1200 watt dual 4 ohm sub's a 2000 watt digital monoblock amp an alpine v-12 1000 watt 4 channel amp for my speakers inside and i diddnt change the speaker's inside i left them stock and they sounded good for a couple months with out them blowing remember if your gonna run an amp for your speaker's inside the car make sure you put all the bass off on the amp that powers the speaker's inside and they should last but they dont sound as good as new ones i recently upgraded my door speaker's to cerwin vega 5x7" speakerswich cost me around 120buck's and the rear i did a pair of performance teqniques wich cost me 40 and to be honest they sound kind of the same ive tested them seperatly but any way they did sound a hell of alot cleaner and crisper you can really hear every note in the music and the high's are exteremly loud and clear so all in all if your gonna replace the amp you might as well spend around an extra $100 the replace all 4 of the speaker's inside the car it is gonna make a big difference in sound anit is pretty easy to change them yourself
