dull silver 10 spokes brought back to better then new condition.

i had a set of silver 10 spokes from a 97 we parted out. the wheels looked like they had been cleaned at some point with a scotch brite pad, they were dull and crappy. my buddy has a 93 white mark with 43k on it and he wanted the wheels, so i told him i could refinish them and sell them to him. so yesterday and today i spent a whole lotta time working on them and finished them today. i started by wet sanding the faces to get the silver paint sanded off and got rid of any imperfections in the faces, then shot them with primer sealer, put on a few fresh coats of dupont ultra silver, and finished with 4 coats of omni clear coat on each wheel. this is how they ended up. totally awesome looking.

You need a blast cabinet, would make quick work of that. Great tool to have around, you'll never sand paint off again.

i have a blast cabinet, but i do it my way for a reason, fast work is crap result, taking the time and being anal results in a flawless paint job on a wheel. i take my time with everything, its the only way to get the result you want, blasting aluminum would leave the surface rough feeling, these wheels look like glass. i know i could make things go faster in my life but i've been doing things the same way my whole life so no sense in changing now!

Maybe I will paint mine red? hmmm... think it would look ok if I did it right?
 
how far is milton from tarpon springs? i'll do them for you if you want i have no problem doing another set. i can do them any color you want but i honestly cant say red sounds like a good choice, but, its not my car, so it doesnt matter what i think. but deffinetly if you want me to do a set lets talk, you supply me the paint, i'll supply the clear coat, and i'll do a set for $100 bucks.i can do them in one day.



EDIT: 6 hours 44 mins acourding to mapquest lol , i didnt know milton was the west corner of the panhandle thats pretty damn far from me!
