Dynabatt

The dynabatt is a repackaged Hawker Odyssey battery.

I have one but I have yet to fashion a hold-down for it. The terminals are reverse from the stock models.

I always thought that the stock battery is way heavy especially if one goes racing. Not quite sure why they can't make a 4-5lb Li-Ion battery pack it will have 10x the power of a conventional battery while weighing much less.

Cost?

Here is the one I have.

Hawker (Enersys) Odyssey (PC680MJT) 12 Volt/16 Amp Hour Dry Cell SLA Battery - SAE Automotive Posts - Metal Jacket for Extreme Temperatures

Weight 15.8 pounds.

The PC1200LMJT I have weighs 40 pounds for comparison.

It is not unusual for a typical lead-acid battery to top 50 pounds.

Jeff/SVO/Grey Ghosts new owner had a small battery like that he was using while he got a full sized replacement for "the ghost".

I laughed when I saw it under the hood, but instantly thought to myself..now THAT is exactly what I need to "take 40ish lbs" off the front of the car.

I might have to borrow/swipe it from Jeff..HAHA

Yes actually I did, it's a wheel chair gel battery, and weighs like a whopping 10lbs. and will start and sustain the car, but not with an audion system, so till I got my red top battery I left it in there.
