1/4 or 1/2?

I am getting all my stuff together for my exhaust and my question is. Will it hurt me much to go 2.25 instead of 2.5 size? I know it will only flow as well as the smallest orfice, and with me not having headers it will be running through 2.25 anyway. Thoughts? Opinions?

Not claiming to be expert, but the simplified version of the main difference is torque vs. HP. You will gain more lower end with the 2-1/4 vs. the 2-1/2. Likewise you will have more top end with the 2-1/2 vs the 2-1/4.

Like most of life, it's a compromise one way or the other. Determine what's most important to you along with any future plans you may have for the car.

I went 2 1/4 dual with x-pipe on mine knowing I have no real plans of any extensive motor work, supercharger or turbo. If you plan to do alot of mods do it once in 2 1/2

I bought the 2 1/2" pipes from Flowtech, which included a X Pipe. Sounds great and lets go a couple extra horses.
